Surathkal Beach is about 15 km to the north of the city. It has a beautiful lighthouse and few rocks. The biggest thing on this beach is its "sand”.
Kaup Beach is about 45 km to the north. It can be reached by the local express buses in 45 minutes. The beach has a lighthouse which is open to visitors.
